Traveling to the Beach in Comfort

The Beautiful Paradisus Palma Real

Top | Pants  | Clutch + Chain | Hat (old), similar
I'm finally getting around to unloading my camera from my trip so here we go!  I wore this outfit on my way down to Punta Cana with two goals in mind. 1) Comfort (If I'm gonna be on a plane for 4+ hours, I better be comfortable) and 2). Beachy.  When I tried on these pants, I didn't want to take them off, however they aren't pants I can wear around town without getting stares.  Truth be told, they've become my new favorite lounge pants at home, but on the trip, they served their purpose well!  Just a note, *I did have to roll mine down a couple times and even then they were a little long.  Its no secret I love to wear black, so I relied on my scarf and bag to bring in some color.   While I normally would wear flip flops with this kind of outfit, I went with flat espadrilles because my feet are always freezing on an airplane!  The hat is an oldie, but one that I constantly still reach for because its neutral and keeps the sun off my head and face. I have been completely obsessed with my new clutch and the print fit in perfectly in Dominican Republic.  It fit all my essentials but still remained thin which is why I love it so much.  The chain is completely versatile and while some nights I skipped it all together, my favorite way to use it is to double it up and wear the bag higher up on my shoulder.  I never travel without a scarf on an airplane because I'm always so cold, and between the bright color and lightweight feel, it was a perfect little travel companion!  Easy, breezy and totally comfortable!

Whats in my Beach Bag!

What I would give to go back to Paradise aka Punta Cana!  I am a little late in this post and some to follow but once I came home it was back to reality and a lot of womp....womp....womp...well, life!  Here were the staples I had with me all week in the Dominican Republic.  They protected, hydrated, refreshed and made my skin GLOW!

Beach Bag | Passport Cover | Coola Sunscreen | 5 in 1 Face Cream | Tarteguard | AviatorsCard Holder | Hydrating Vitamin Spray | BEACH CREAM

Pom Pom Beach Bag - When I spotted this in Old Navy I practically ran to grab it as it was the last
one hanging!  The colors.are.just. and to top it off the bright little pom-pom tassel tie!  Its an average straw bag thats very durable and fits a TON of stuff!  If you are planning a vacation or heading to the beach, you need this!

Leather Passport Cover - I absolutely LOVE this so much! Its buttery soft and the silver embellished font makes it extra special!  The size of it also made it super easy to grab when I was shuffling through my bag.

Coola Sunscreen - I discovered this gem in Hawaii a few years ago when I left my sunscreen at home and I've been a fan ever since.  Not only is it natural and safe, but it smells INCREDIBLE (Pina Colada is my favorite) AND the spray nozzle makes it a fast and painless, non-greasy process.  P.S. I also really love their face sunscreen, too!

5 in 1 Face Cream - This is not only a wonderful face sunscreen, but its an all-around moisturizer that  you can also count on to even out your skin tone and prevent and reduce wrinkles! I use this a lot when I am pressed for time and  want to skip the process of an spf, moisturizer and primer.

Tarteguard - A face sunscreen (spf 30) from the brand whom creates all products without all the not-so-nice chemicals and ingredients. that is natural and unscented. It leaves behind no whitecast or greasy feel.  Also love the bright neon purple packaging!

Aviators - A classic.  nuff' said.

Card Holder - I loved having this on my trip because it took up no room at all and I could carry around my license, room key, cash and a card all neatly stashed away!  It was great to grab and go as well to go eat or grab a drink.

Hydrating Vitamin Spray - I used this each and everyday in between laying out and sweating my buns off.  It cooled my face off, smelled like fresh oranges and when it dried it didn't feel drying.  Its also the perfect little size to grab and go.  I even used this on the plane on the way down as the air on the plane is just well-non-existent, not to mention how dry it is 30,000 feet in the sky.

Beach Cream - AERIN sent this to me just before my trip and it couldn't have come at a more perfect time.  I just had a spray tan done and its the perfect body moisturizer to enhance your glow, hydrate your skin and lengthen your tan.  It also smells wonderful and has the tinniest hint of shimmer!

COLORBLOCK

Top (ON SALE & additional 20% off with "MOM") | Skirt | Shoes
Sunglasses: Chanel | Earrings | Lips

I spotted this outfit on a recent trip to MACYS, and completely fell in love with it!  Albeit a little out of my comfort zone but I tried it on anyway, and I'm so glad I did!  The colors are so vibrant and it is one of the most comfortable things I've worn in a long time, I couldn't wait to share it with you all! Sometimes it pays to dress outside the box ;)

Dallas Weekend Re-Cap!

Hi Ya'll!! How much fun did I have saying that all weekend without people looking at me like I was cray-cray?!  I spent the weekend in Dallas at the annual RewardStyle Conference and not only did I learn a TON and become even more INSPIRED (truth be told, I didn't know it was possible!), but I met some amazing ladies, made some new friends and for the first time in MONTHS didn't have to wear a coat and bundle up!  All in all I'd say it was a damn good few days!  Though I was one of the few You Tubers there, being among some of my favorite bloggers and learning a ton along the way, it really got my head spinning with so many ideas for my lonely old blog and excited for whats to come!  Heres a look back at some of the highlights of my time spent in Dallas, TX!
We stayed at the The Joule and it was hands down one of the nicest hotel I've stayed in in a long time!  We also had a creepy view of the famous EYE!

Probably the highlight of my trip was meeting this gem after speaking and getting to know each other for the last 4+ years!!  We filmed a Whats In Our Travel Bags video if you want to check it out here!
Floating Hydrangas for the Stuart Weitzman Pool Party
 $38 poached eggs....seriously.
My blowout courtesy of Blownaway! If you haven't heard of them, definitely check them out...think of Uber for your hair!
Mckennableu is one of my best friend's favorite bloggers, so we had to snap a picture to send her!
I've loved Jillian AND her fashion sense ever since seeing her on The Bachelor.  She is even more stunning in person and so down-to-earth!

Selfy Sticks | Dessert at CBD = thebomb.com
Top | Jeans | Wedges: Express | Bag: Chanel
River Island's party - all 40 minutes of it until it was moved indoors due to a nasty thunderstorm!
Finally met Veronika!! I've been reading her blog since I found her when I was pregnant.  Our girls are 2 weeks apart and I had the best time getting to know her outside of the blogging world.
Ended my trip meeting this doll who was on my flight home! Her Lashes are INSANE and even more gorgeous in person!  Look for her on your TVs again very soon!

Thanks for the hospitality and WARM weather, Dallas! Hope to see you again soon!

Lilly Pulitzer for Target Wishlist!

Here we go again...Missoni for Target 2.0.  Target has partnered up with a ton of fashion designers over the past several years and while some are major successes (ahem Missoni) others have failed miserably.  Its Lilly Pulitzer's turn and I have a very funny feeling that this collection is not only gonna be a success it may even surpass Missoni's collaboration.  Its always nice when collections release women's clothing, but add some bright colored dresses, pom-poms and tassels to a little girl's collection, well I won't be able to resist.  While I know Lilly has some pretty intense fans, I've never been one of them. In fact, as I'm writing this I just realized that I don't even own a single thing from the brand, not even stationary or a darn tumbler!  While I am not crazy about the Women's collection (except for those metallic gold wedge espadrilles-obsessed), I am absolutely NUTS for the little girl's stuff!  As you guys know I love any opportunity to match my mini and this collaboration caters to just that!  There are a few Home Decor items that I have my eye on too.  Needless to say, I will be in line bright & early on Sunday morning in hopes to beat out the crazies who will rush the store only to post everything to their Ebay accounts hours later. Thank goodness my Target has a Starbucks inside....

What is on your wishlist?

For Your Mini's Easter Basket!

Its almost time to fill up those baskets again!  I did a post similar to this one last year and have been getting asked to do another one this year.  Here are all the things I've either picked up for Addison's basket or things that she already has and loves.  I hope you can find some ideas of things to include in your little mini's basket!

How adorable is Fleur the knit bunny?!  I got Addie Suzette the Fox for Christmas and she absolutely loves her.  And I have to add that she is super soft and made incredibly well. When I saw they had a bunny while shopping at Christmas time, I knew I had to scoop her up for Addie's basket.  I got her the Mini for Christmas and the regular size this time around.  Use code "Easter10" through Monday for 10% off your order.  And for Mama's of little misters, grab your little guy Pierre the bunny, he's just as soft and cuddly!

My Go-to Green Juice!

Happy New Year!  Now that the Holidays are over, I think we can all agree that we don’t need to see that much food or better yet-eat that much until they come around again next year!  Between the holiday parties, family gatherings and the actual days themselves, I feel like all I have been doing for the last 2 weeks is eating!  When I woke up a few days after Christmas (and on a day that we had no more parties to go to and no plans that involved eating until our jeans stopped fitting), I craved a green juice, or as I like to call it - “a detox”.  Because we haven’t been home all that much or had to cook, my refrigerator wasn’t as stocked as I normally keep it so I had to get creative and use what I had on hand to make my juice.  Surprisingly it turned out pretty darn good and therefore, this green juice blend has become a must-have every morning! It was too good not to share!

Ingredients
1 handful a a 1/2 of Kale
2 Celery Stalks
1/2 of an Apple (Honeycrisps are my favorite-yum!)
1 Tbsp Pomegranate
1 tsp Chia Seeds
Parsley to taste (I am a HUGE fan of parsley, so I tend to go overboard)
1/2 cup water
3-4 ice cubes

Blend until smooth and pour over ice to enjoy ;)

The next time you are craving a salad that you can drink or a fresh and clean start to your day, I hope you will give this a try.  Its also a great recipe to clean out your fridge before stuff starts to go bad!  You can also add different things like coconut milk, yogurt or a nut butter to make it more like a smoothie and keep you fuller a little bit longer!
