Tiffany Bows!

Anyone that knows me knows I have a HUGE weakness when it comes to Tiffany & Co. I got my first piece of jewelry when I was 15 and have been obsessed ever since. I don't know if its the infamous Tiffany blue color, the incredibly attractive wrapping, or the amazing quality you get with their jewelry, but I am sucked in everytime I walk past a store or receive the catalog in the mail. Needless to say with the holiday season quickly approaching I have received numerous "blue" catalogs come into my mail box over the past few months. I always want everything in it, but there was one piece that kept staring at me in every one. They are the newest addition to their collection this year and they are the CUTEST earrings I have ever seen. The epitome of a girly girl. Introducing Tiffany Bows!

I couldn't take looking at them in one more catalog. I always hate ordering from the catalog because their pieces aren't always true to size. Soooo, I dragged my boyfriend to the mall an hour away from us to the nearest Tiffany & Co. Much to my disappointment these babies were SOLD OUT! The Sales associate told me the last pair literally just walked out of the store as I was coming in. BUMMER! My boyfriend told me I was crazy, being that my birthday and Christmas are around the corner and I should wait, but I couldn't! One awful thing about me is when I want, I want NOW! Needless to say, I ordered them right then and there and got them in the mail about 4 days later. I am OBSESSED! If you girls ask for 1 thing this year from your parents/boyfriends/husbands, let it be these. You will not regret it, I PROMISE! And at the affordable price (for Tiffanys) of $125.00, you won't feel too guilty asking for them =)

Essie Winter Collection

Lollipop, Rock Candy, Mint Candy Apple, Clear Top Coat

Essie never lets us down, and their new winter collection is no exception. Every color is beautiful (swatches below). If you can't decide which color to get, I recommend doing what I did, go for the little gift set, which can be found at Ulta. You get all 3 colors and a top coat for $17.00. What a Steal!!

Mint Candy Apple
1 shade of the hottest color this fall/winter. This color truly delivers and is stunning on the nails. I can't tell you how many compliments I get when I have it on my nails!

Rock Candy
A typical "Essie" color. Sheer Pink. This does have more color than most of their sheer pink shades. Its so girly by itself and adds great shine. While it is super pretty by itself, I would recommend using it the next time you get a french manicure. It is slightly "darker" than the average pink used for a french, but with an opaque white on top would be beautiful!

Lollipop
Red, no better way to say it. Its flat, opaque, gorgeous and perfect for the holiday season!

Overall, there is not a bad color in this collection. I usually stay away from mini collections or sets because 9 times out of 10 I only like 1 or 2 colors in the kit. None of these colors disappoint. Mint Candy Apple is by FAR my absolute favorite. I like it even better than MAC's Peppermint Patti. Its a lighter "green" where as Peppermint Patti has more "blue" undertones. If you missed out on Chanel Jade shoot for Mint Candy Apple, they are slightly different but give off that same beautiful shade of green. Yummy!

Disclaimer: This kit was purchased at my own expense.

Mini NYX Haul

I have always been a fan of NYX. Great quality, highly pigmented and totally affordable! The only problem has been trying to hunt them down! They are available at various online shops, including CherryCulture.com. The only store I know of that sells it is Ulta, which was No where to be found by me. You can imagine my excitement when a new Ulta just opened up by my house!! You can also imagine my disappointment when I got to Ulta on a mission to find this special blush, only to find the NYX counter sold everything EXCEPT blushes!! Ahhhh! So I took to CherryCulture.com and their 20% sale and treated myself to a few things!

Cinnamon Blush - I saw this blush on several beauty blogs recently and I was intrigued...not only do I LOVE the name, the color is unlike any blush I have ever owned! It is a BRIGHT Orange. I hear it being compared to NARS' Taj Mahal quite a bit, however I have never owned it, so I can't say. Reviews had stated that it was very sheer, but to my surprise, I found it to be extremely pigmented! LOVE this blush...it falls in the same category as Salsa Rose from MAC Pro - bright but GORGEOUS when applied with a light hand and fluffy brush!

Desert Rose Blush - A deep raspberry/mauvey/rose, this color is GORGEOUS and PERFECT for Fall!

Raisin Blush - Another name that caught my eye - this is a taupy/dirty brown color and my FAVORITE by far. It too is extremely unique. You can use it as a contour or on the cheeks for a different, yet stunning look!

Cream Blush in Glow - As most of you know, Blushcreames are some of my favorite products from MAC, so I wanted to pick up a NYX to compare. The pigmentation on this blush is INSANE! You will note from the picture 1 major difference between the consistency and texture of MAC vs. NYX. MAC is more of a dense, thick formula, whereas NYX is extremely creamy and more "liquidy" if you will. I wasn't expecting it to smear so easily, its almost as if it was left in the son and melted. Totally deceiving just by looking at it though!

Suede Eye Shadow - Another blog favorite that I have had my eye on for quite some time. My Ulta was sold out of it. It is just your average shimmery brown, perfect to sweep all over the lid on its own, or pop it into the crease for your exciting, everyday, neutral looks - my favorite!

Swatches!

Rasin, Desert Rose, Cinnamon, Suede, Glow

Last but not least - I could NOT resist when I saw these. Cupcakes are my favorite - (Red Velvet to be exact) and whats better than having a little pot of flavored lipgloss inside. Conversation piece or stocking stuffer for a 5 year old. You be the judge, but none the less, they are ADORABLE and I love them!

All Cosmetics Wholesale - SMH Shadows and Swatches!!!

Everyone that knows me knows that I am a 100% obsessed MAC addict, and I will be the first to admit it! However, that doesn't mean I am close minded when it comes to trying out other brands and products. When ACW contacted me asking if I would like to review some of their new eye shadows, I of course JUMPED at the opportunity. To be completely honest I think I was more excited that I was contacted by ACW than I was about the actual shadows, (until I saw them of course ;). I have just always loved ACW and have several haul videos to show for it. My bank account on the other hand, not a big fan, YIKES! I*ve always had amazing customer service and they have helped me build up my MAC collection for a fraction of the cost! Ok enough babbling and onto my new loves =)

Pink Opal, Show Stopper, Cocoa, Warm and Fuzzy, Wine Not
Mimosa, Creme D' Nude, Frenzy, Cashmere, Dominatrix

Close-Ups!

The shadows that stood out the most to me and some of my favorites: Dominatrix, Creme D'Nude (LOVE this name, as it is my favorite MAC lipstick!), Parakeet, Fresh, Showstopper, & Wine Not.

Needless to say, these shadows are truly BLISS! Absolutely freaking GORGEOUS!!

Have you tried these yet? If so, what are your favorites?

First Came After Dark, Than Came Midnight.....

Anyone that knows me knows that my Staple Fall nail color is OPI's Linkin Park After Dark. It has been my favorite for as long as I can remember. I absolutely LOVE dark colors such as this one for the fall, especially on short and nicely manicured nailes! I was browsing the nail polishes in the aisles of Ulta the other day when I came across OPI*s "Linkin Park at Midnight". OMG! Where have I been? How long has this color been out, and WHY did I not know about it! Needless to say I walked out with yet another bottle of Linkin Park After Dark and Linkin Park at Midnight. Some may say I am crazy for buying 2 of basically the same color, but I would disagree. "After Dark" is a flat, matte and creamy black purple. "At Midnight" is a more shimmery, satin and a slighty lighter-dark purple (if that makes sense). Here are the swathes:

Linkin Park After Dark

Linkin Park At Midnight

Side by Side:

I hate to say it, but "At Midnight" may just replace my beloved "After Dark", at least for this fall!

What are your favorite fall colors?

MAC, HOW DARE YOU!!

I swear in these Economic Times that we live in today, you would think we would all be about saving money, and yada yada ya! However, I feel as though us Make-up whores are probably spending more than we have ever spent before on these yummy and oh so fabulous (MAC) collections for Spring/ Summer!! I mean COME ON!! First there was the LONG awaited Coveted Hello Kitty Haul, which we have been saving our pennies for, for MONTHS! And now, just when we're all broke, MAC has to go ahead and release 2 more AMAZING collections....hmph! And we*re not even at Kitty Kouture yet!

The next collection to grace the MAC counters is the Sugar Sweet Collection. I absolutely fell in LOVE with this collection as soon as (I*m not even gonna lie here) I saw the name of it! What a gorgeous, scrumptious and Oh so "sweet" collection! My wish list is already a mile long! Here is a picture of the collection for you to "indulge" in!

On my list presently are the following:

Saint Germain Lipstick - this lipstick is currently only available in the UK and it is GORGEOUS.
Lollipop Loving Lipstick - Totally missed out on this in Heatherette
Sweet Thing Lipstick - Can we say SUMMERTIME?!
Tricolour Lipglasses - These are a first for me, however not sure about the payoffs, they appear pretty sheer, but I will probably get a few, what with names like Just Dessert, Tasty, and Simply Delicious how am I expected to resist them?!
Dear Cupcake E/S - If I only bought this for the name that would be ok, but its a Mid-tone pink coral with gold pearlized pigments....LOVE
Aquavert is a repromote and Stars & Rockets is Perm, both of which I do not have in my collection!
Red Velvet Shadestick - Beside the fact that this is my ALL TIME MOST FAVORITE CAKE IN THE WORLD...the color is GORGEOUS!
Peppermint Patti and Seasonal Peach will add some gorgeous colors to my summer nail polish fetish!
The Mineralize Skinfinishes are different MSFs than I have ever seen...Definitely getting Perfect Topping its Pink/Peach/Lavender melange and I think the other will have to be swatched for me to decide!

After Sugarsweet fades away, it will quickly be replaced with "A Rose Romance Collection"

If you don't fall in love the pictures alone and all of the PINK in this collection, and maybe you don't even love the idea of Fix+ Rose, but....umm Rose Imprinted Beauty Powders? ENOUGH SAID!

Once again I am broke and the collections aren't even out yet!! Are you still splurging on these collections, despite our current recession, or are you shielding your wallets from the MAC counters?!

Urban Decay - Are you Trying to Rip Us Off??

So I*m sure the majority of us have all tried the wonderful and "Holy Grail" product for some, the infamous Urban Decay Primer Potion
I myself am one of those who has been obsessed with this product ever since I*ve gotten my hands on it! So last week I was scraping (or so I thought) the tube with the wand and pouting because I thought it was the last of my precious UDPP. I had remembered hearing people talk about "decanting" their UDPP in some YT videos and never thought anything of it. So before I tossed it into the trash, i figured, what the heck, and did a search for "depotting your UDPP" on You Tube. Boy am I glad I did. I found some really good and super detailed videos and pictures on how to actually "depot" your UDPP. Let me just tell you that these people that made videos are a lot neater and more graceful than I am! It turned out to be such a mess...I couldn't cut through the tube, and when my dad saw what I was doing he looked at me like he had 4 heads and asked, "Michele, what the HECK are you doing, trying to saw your finger of?" So being the handy man that he is, he went into his trusty box of tools and came back with pliers in hand. So about 5 minutes later and 4 separate pieces of the mangled purple tube I was finally able to scrape out every last drop and put it into a 5g sample jar. I seriously had to wipe some off the top and toss it (tear) because the jar wouldn't close.
*I would have taken pictures to show you what I had to go through, but honestly it was embarrassing the mess I made. It looked like a 5 year old got her hands on it!

I AM SO MAD! All this time I am thinking I was off to Sephora to spend another $16 and buy another UDPP, and here I have a HUGE jar chock full of UDPP, probably to take me until Summertime! Is this Urban Decay's way of making money off of us naive peeps? I am so bothered by this! So I vowed, NEVER again will I purchase this product. It shouldn't be this much of a hassle to use up all of a product. On to Too Faced Shadow Insurance I go...right? WRONG!

So when I was in Sephora last night, I walked over to the Too Faced counter and tried a sample of TFSI....I don't know what I was expecting it to be like (UDPP?!) but it felt a lot greasier to me and more oily...it really didn't absorb into my skin the way UDPP does. Now lies my dilemma...

Do I just suck it up, bite the bullet and continue to support Urban Decay, and just make a mess and decant it into my jar each time? Or do I just give TFSI another try....as I know a lot of people do really love this product. I absolutely LOVE UDPP, I am super confused. Annnnd if I put it into the jar I run the risk of it drying out, which I have heard can happen. I am very sure that when I twist the jar it is securely closed, but still, I shouldn't have to worry. Than I saw the new UDPP in SIN. I LOVE THIS! Its the prettiest color and I would seriously wear it by itself on my lid....but than there goes the same problem again of having to decant....

UGH! HELP! I am very tempted to write UD a letter begging them to change their packaging...anyone with me?! Please let me know if any of you have tried Too Faced's product and your thoughts....am I a sucker if I just go back and repurchase UDPP?

Post NYC - Sorry its SO LATE!

Wow, its been quite a while since I got on here! I really came on to delete this page, because I really have been slacking with it, but than I saw I had some followers and felt kinda bad! Apparently some people enjoy reading my blog?? Sooooo this is for you guys! Another update....I promised pictures from our NYC trip (even though that was more than a month ago ) so that is what I am going to post!

Needless to say, we had a fabulous time in my favorite city in the world. To some it up, We saw the Rockettes, strolled through Sephora (and of course picked up a few goodies), had Sushi (mmmmm my favvv!), grabbed some Starbucks, walked around in the snow, slept over in a fancy hotel and came home! Unfortunately with the weather being bad we really couldn't leave until later, and it totally through a monkey wrench in our (I mean mine..DUH) plans to visit MAC Pro. I guess its just one more excuse to go back to NYC! So without further ado......here they are =)

The BEAUTIFUL Christmas tree!

Look how a snow flake completely covers my bf*s eye...hehe

Too bad this didn't look anything like us...its still a funny picture!

The infamous Rockettes! They didn't allow pictures, but I snuck a few in!

Always my favorite way to end the day =)

So there you go!! Sorry to leave you guys hanging for a while! Thanks so much for sticking with me! I promise I am going to make a conscious effort to keep up with my bloggy blog! The next post and probably most of them after that, will be make-up/handbag/shoe/fashion related! I may stick some funny pics in here or there! If there is something specific you guys want me to blog about, just say the word!!!
